The quad and zipline tour ranks very high in our top 5 day tours, and not without reason.
This tour takes place at the Parabello resort, about 45 minutes' drive from the city. Large groups are split up.
On the quad/ATV we ride through the savannah for about 2 hours. These machines can reach 180 km/h (though unfortunately you're not allowed to), so the guide first gives some safety tips before you get on. Children under 16 ride accompanied by a parent or the guide. While riding we go up and down slopes and through water. Bring an extra set of clothes, because you'll get very dirty quad riding.
After the quad ride you have some time to relax, or jump into the creek to cool off or rinse off.
For the zipline you step on the scales with the guide, because unfortunately you can't be over 90 kg. Once you've been weighed you put on a harness and the guide explains all the dos and don'ts.
The zipline is an adrenaline rush, and it's great to watch the guide do his tricks.
This tour is really worth it and a must when you're in Suriname. It costs €90; if you only want to do the quad tour, the price is €80.
