Unique in Suriname: floating platforms on the water, romantically lit, for a truly special experience. Two or three days packed with great activities.

Because there was no work during the pandemic, many Jenny Tours staff were at home. By joining forces and keeping the work going, the idea came up to build something unique. The idea of glamping wasn't new, but making tents on floating platforms seemed like a real challenge.

On a 50-metre floating pier, 5 platforms were built on each side. Tents are set up on them, and you sleep on air mattresses.

The tour is not luxurious and not far into the interior; it is fairly basic, but a great experience.
The activities:

Programme: Parabello on-water glamping, 2 days

Day 1. Departure (time and meeting point sent by e-mail) · 10:30 am arrival at Parabello · 11:00 am check in to the tents · 12:00 noon lunch · 1:00 pm rest and relax · 2:00 pm stand up paddle boarding trip · 3:00 pm Tiki Fiti, archery, Tarzan swing and fly slide · 4:00 pm rain disco (minimum 6 people) · 6:00 pm dinner · 8:00 pm cinema under the stars (another location if it rains) · 10:00 pm campfire. Sleeping in tents on the water.

Day 2. 9:00 am breakfast · 12:00 noon quad riding (for those who booked this option) · 12:00 noon volleyball competition · 1:00 pm lunch · 2:00 pm banana boat ride (with 6 people; otherwise SUP boarding again) · 4:00 pm check out and head to Paramaribo · 5:30 pm arrival in Paramaribo.

On arrival you get instructions about the resort, toilets, rules etc. The pier you sleep on makes noise when you walk on it, and the toilet block is quite far away, so please bear this in mind, and be considerate of people sleeping if you need the toilet at night. During the day we unzip the tents for you, otherwise they get too hot. It is fairly basic, not luxurious. There is power in the tents to charge small devices such as phones. We are not responsible for theft, loss or items that fall into the water. If you want to keep valuables safe, leave them with the manager or the guide.
