Brownsberg Nature Park day tour
Brownsberg is world-famous as a nature reserve. A beautiful day tour!
The history of Berg en Dal begins in 1713, when a military post was set up to protect the plantations along the Suriname River against Maroon attacks from the south. Later, gold was mined in the area.
Departure times and meeting points can change. If they do, everyone who has booked receives an e-mail straight away.
Berg en Dal is currently closed because of flooding. We do not yet know whether or when it will reopen.
There is another cableway in Suriname, at the Parabello resort. Contact us on +597 885 8495 for more information.
After a drive of an hour and a half you reach a beautiful hilly area through which the Suriname River winds. Here you can take your time to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the rainforest and visit the old plantation. Adventurers will not be bored here either.
At Berg en Dal you can kayak, hike and abseil through the canopy. Berg en Dal is also where Suriname's first cableway was built.
On this day tour you go abseiling and kayaking. You travel on the Berg en Dal staff bus, boarding at Krasnapolsky at 6:45 am (this sometimes varies). Not every day does a tour go to Berg en Dal, so please ask about availability. This is the only Jenny Tours tour WITHOUT lunch, food and/or snacks, because of Berg en Dal's rules. You only pay for the activities and transport.
Please note: this tour is for the Berg en Dal action centre; stays at the resort cannot currently be booked through us. The maximum weight for participants is 90 kilos and the maximum age is 60.
Departures every day from 3 people.
You can find the scheduled departure dates in the tour overview.
