Brownsberg Nature Park day tour
Brownsberg is world-famous as a nature reserve. A beautiful day tour!
Braamspunt lies on the coast at the mouth of the Suriname River, in the west of the Commewijne district.
Braamspunt is a sand spit on the Suriname River in the district of Commewijne.
From the pier at Leonsberg we board the covered boat onto the Suriname and Commewijne rivers.
The dolphins are usually found where these rivers meet.
This type of dolphin is known as the Profosu, or river dolphin.
Then you travel on to Braamspunt to see how the sea turtles lay their eggs.
You can capture this event, which can sometimes take hours, on video or camera (please note: flash photography is prohibited!).
After the tour we return to the boat around midnight and sail back to Leonsberg.
From Leonsberg we drive back to Sidewalk Café ‘t Vat.
