Family holidays in Suriname
Suriname makes for an adventurous holiday with your family, with everything from jungle to water fun to spotting wild animals such as monkeys, dolphins and even tarantulas.
Tours to the interior are fairly pricey, so it's smart to ask us for tailor-made advice.

We know all the suitable hostels and hotels, and of course affordable trips into the interior. A holiday in Suriname is something very different from a holiday in France.
Our advice for your trip to Suriname: do what you can on your own. Don't stay in Paramaribo for more than 3–4 days. Do rest enough between trips into the interior, as they can be tiring.
A fun combination of tours for a family of 2 parents and 2 children aged 5 to 14:
- Arrival and check-in at a resort with a pool in or around Paramaribo
- Dolphin and caiman trip (definitely add the caimans, very exciting), 4:00 – 10:00 pm
- Brownsberg and Ston Island combined with an Upper Suriname tour, such as Jaw Jaw / Isadou or Anaula, 4 days
- Rest day back in Paramaribo
- On your own to Cola Creek, Overbridge or any other resort; this can be done cheaply by taxi van or local public transport
- Bike tour to Peperpot (on your own or arranged by us)
- The ZIPLINE / QUAD adventure day tour is great fun if the children are over 12
- Speedboat safari or Jeep Safari
If the children are a bit older, 8 and up, we definitely recommend a tour to Raleigh Falls.
